I use UberEnvironment2 (UE) with almost all of my renders. I have Age of Armour's Advanced Ambient Lighting, but as far as I can tell, it doesn't allow for adding a color map image to the color of the light, so I only use that for monochrome ambient light or if I want localized ambient light. At some point I will make a tutorial for using the UE color map, but for now, I present the UE settings I use:

Your other lighting should be providing the shadow direction. And it is difficult to line up the 'directional shadows' with the direction the shadows should be going.
IDL settings take a lot l
